My Vacation to Italy

My vacation to Italy was eventful, each day we had something to do.  I stayed in Rome for 4 days before heading on a cruise.  I did different sightseeing each day and it was filled with so many historical sites that were so breathtaking.  Unfortunately many historical places remains were destroyed by earthquakes, floods and looting.  Never realized how valuable marble stones were, back then people would loot marble stones.

Some of the main attractions I have visit:
  • Colosseum
  • Trevi Fountain
  • Piazza Navona
  • Jewish Ghetto
I didn't expect that I would do so much sightseeing within 4 days time frame, because with a 1-year-old it's hard to travel in the city.  There was a lot of cobblestones everywhere; making it hard to stroll on the streets. The weather was extremely hot during August, but I'm glad that I did a lot of  within 4 days.  Food wise was amazing, I got an opportunity to taste the best pizza, sandwiches and gelato.  Cappuccino is a must, and I'm glad that my hotel provided complimentary breakfast with Cappuccino.  A little-known coffee fact, while I was in Rome there were no Starbucks, so I couldn't get my coffee fix through the day sadly.

I'm glad that I was able to tackle each day with the hot weather and traveling certain destination wasn't easy to get to.  It was certainly an exercise each day, but I'm very thankful that I had an opportunity to explore this beautiful city.

Here are some pictures of food and Gelato galore pics.  Gelato is a must to have every day even early in the morning...
